New Fragrance from Amouage; Epic!

Tonight at Al-Bustan Palace Hotel, Amouage is to launch their new fragrance called Epic. There will be exclusive bottles autographed by the Japanese Amouage Creative Director, Christopher Chong. I am putting high expectations on this one and actually Amouage has never disappointed me on any of their products; yes I am a big fan. The ceremony will start at 7 PM at Al Maha Lounge but I don't think I'll be going, however, I'll surely get my autographed bottle. =P
Just a side note, for those who don't know, perfumes are one of my big obsessions and I have like 20+ perfumes and most of them from Amouage xD. This has nothing to do with family related business but I literally find Amouage products fresh, exquisite, classy and prestigious.

Long time no see!

I've been so much busy immediately since I came back from the States and I got involved in a technical training here in Oman for a technology called 'Weatherford JAMPro'. I am not that much bothered to talk about what's this so-called JAMPro but it's basically a numerical computerized device that measures the torque applied when making up two threaded joints together and this thing is very important when installing casing, completion tubing and other type of pipes.
The good news is that I'm getting back to work with the Fishing & Re-entry Services department and now I'm going to emphasize on learning more about Whipstock systems and getting to understand procurement processes for each asset and inventory items for my department. In another word, I'm getting to have more tasks than before which is, as I find it, so fun especially that it makes me more busy and understanding both sides. (i.e management and operations.)
Other than that, it seems my 'new life' that I recently experienced didn't work fine, so everything came to an end and it has been broken; back to bachelors' club! :D
Oh, and I have to mention that a Pakistani old man dumped my car from the rear bumper and had to replace it by new one through his insurance agency accordingly. It was totally hectic till I get their approval to replace the new bumper and do all the process of replacement at the Mercedes Zawawi Workshop. Moreoever, it was another bad experience with Mercedes Zawawi with the inappropriate customer-service which they pretend it's at highest quality. They really don't have the best customer service and their new hires are just the lamest!
Sorry if this post doesn't seem to be one of my best, but yeah that's what I went through for the last 3-4 weeks!

Goodbye Texas

It was really a blast being in Texas for the last two weeks with friends who really made me enjoy my time more than the last time I stayed in Houston. The classes were a bit exhausting but I had fun, too. We were having theoretical and practical classes as back and forth, so that when you're in the practical, you'd see the theoretical part in action. What matters, is I've really understood and learned a lot about the tool I came to be trained to; OverDrive™ System. Later, I'll be, hopefully, going to another training for one of the lastest technologies in the oilfield; these are Drilling with Casing (DwC™), Drilling while Reaming (DwR™) and Drilling with Liners (DwL™).
Apart from the classes, the weekend before last weekend, my classmates and I went to Austin and it was just amazing trip. The night life in Austin is way too much better than in Houston, it's just vivacious and active. This is the famous Lady Bird Lake (aka: Town Lake)

Last weekend, three of my other Omani friends and myself went to NASA Johnson's Space Center Houston. I didn't really enjoy much but I loved the weather there and we cruised around Galveston for like 2 hours; such awesome seaside town. A photo from the NASA Space Center:

I never imagined in my whole life I'd be doing a crazy shopping one day, but guess what? I just did. :D I went to Galleria Mall and I shopped almost over $3000 (knowing the fact that I'm the least person on earth interested on shopping xD). I bought kids outfits for my nephew and nieces, D&G sunglasses, MontBlanc sunglasses, handbags from Gucci, 4 jeans and 5 shirts from AE and most importantly, L'Homme set from Yves Saint Laurent (YSL <3).

I will surely come back here again, since my company's headquarter is actually based in Houston. 4 Hours left to my flight, see you at the other part of the world guys.

The Vertical City: 1.5 miles tall?

Seriously, what are they thinking of? This is so unbelievably unrealistic. I mean wow, it's like one of these buildings we see in Sci-Fi movies. 1.5 miles tall?? The world is truly coming to an end!!
