My Job.

Just wanted to say that I started working in one of the leading Oilfield Companies called Weatherford. I work under the Business Development & Technical Support Group Department, dedicated to technically support the Fishing & Re-entry Services. I'm literally satisfied in my job and working within a multinational environment that helps me to enhance my skills in different aspects.
I have been involved in different operations in the desert for technical training and outside Oman for non-techincal training courses. What I like in Weatherford, that every employee get to see their career plans and their competencies.
NOTE: I have updated this post intentionally on the 18th of Sept 2008.

Glad to hear that you're satisfied with your job!

A lot of the young engineers I know whom work in SLB aren't totally satisfied with their job but they're sticking to it only for the high cash they get... I actually heard of someone who worked with SLB for one year even though he was fucked up in the job, but after a year he decided to quit and start a small business of his own with the money he was paid in SLB for that entire year, which was quite heavy & enough for starting a small business...

Anyways, wish you very good luck with your career and inshallah when you're here in TX we can meet! ;-). Good thing that in my Spring semester break (in mid-March) I will be in Dallas inshallah for 10 days.

Good luck again and take care!

and yeah, I forgot to tell you! don't get your hopes too high about the place here, since you've never been to the US before :P.. I'm sure you'll be so surprised if your hopes are too high. I mean the place here, Texas, is waaaaaay different than other states of the USA. Dallas is a very nice city though. It's very big, and I guess you'll like it. Laken if your hopes are too high, you'll end up in a very big shock! :P..
